Frequently asked questions

How can I see the site before paying?

Your website is built and finished first, and you get a link to a real, working site. You decide to buy only after that — no drafts, no commitments.

How fast will the site be live?

A finished site is usually ready to view within days. Publishing on your own domain happens right after payment — often the same day the nameservers are switched.

Will my email break during the move?

No. Your existing DNS records (including email MX records) are imported automatically, so email keeps working through the switch.

Who owns the domain?

You do — always. The domain stays in your name; we only publish the site on it.

How do changes work later?

By email: describe the change, it gets made, and the updated site goes live. No control panels, nothing to learn.

What's included in the price?

A finished, custom-built site (typically 4–6 pages published — the preview is a one-page summary), go-live on your own domain, 12 months of hosting, two revision rounds before go-live, and small text/image changes for 30 days after go-live.

Can I pay by invoice?

Yes — reply to the preview email or write to sites@bert.fi and an invoice will be arranged.

What happens after the one-time payment?

Hosting is included for 12 months. After that, hosting continues at $55/year — changes are still handled by email.
